Voluntary Board Position | New UK Charity

Your Yedidim is being established to create a regular place for Jewish young adults aged 21–35 to meet, spend time together and get to know people.

We want to make it easier for people to find their community, particularly those who may find this more difficult. That could include people returning home after university, those new to an area, neurodivergent young adults, people with health issues that make socialising more difficult, or simply people who have not yet found where they fit.

We are now looking for Founding Trustees to help us establish the organisation, register it as a UK charity and build the foundations for its future.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We are particularly interested in people with experience in charity governance, finance, fundraising, law, safeguarding, community development, events, marketing or the Jewish community.

This is an early-stage organisation, so we are looking for trustees who want to be involved in building it, rather than simply attending board meetings.

Founding funding

We also need to raise the initial funding to establish Your Yedidim and begin running activities.

We are therefore looking for Founding Trustees who are willing to help secure at least £1,000 of founding funding, whether through a personal contribution, fundraising or introductions to potential supporters.

Those able to contribute or secure £2,500 or more would give us considerably more capacity to get the organisation established.

Financial contribution will not determine appointment. The right experience, judgement, commitment to the purpose of Your Yedidim and willingness to take on the responsibilities of trusteeship come first.

Trusteeship is voluntary and carries the legal and governance responsibilities associated with being a trustee of a UK charity.

Your Yedidim is at the beginning. Our first trustees will have the opportunity to help shape not only how the organisation is governed, but what it becomes.

If you would like to help us build it, we would like to hear from you.
