Baguley Athletic Football Club is looking for an experienced, motivated, and passionate individual to join our team as Head of Recruitment. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our club and supporting our players and community.

Baguley Athletic FC is a community-focused football club dedicated to developing talent, promoting inclusion, and bringing people together through the beautiful game. We run teams across the men's and women's game, and we’re proud to be a valued part of our local sporting landscape. We rely on the commitment and expertise of volunteers to keep growing and thriving.

Role Overview

As Head of Player Recruitment, you will lead all player and staff recruitment activities across the club. You’ll work closely with coaches, managers, and the committee to identify talent, build strong networks, and ensure we attract the right people to help us achieve our goals. This is a voluntary position, ideal for someone looking to gain leadership experience, expand their professional network, or give back to local football.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a clear recruitment strategy aligned with the club’s vision and values
  • Lead the scouting, identification, and assessment of potential players across all age groups
  • Manage recruitment communications and trials
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools, local clubs, and community groups
  • Work with coaching teams to understand squad needs and talent requirements
  • Ensure all recruitment activities follow FA rules, safeguarding policies, and club guidelines
  • Keep accurate records and provide regular updates to the committee

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in recruitment, talent identification, or player development (football experience preferred)
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of football regulations, safeguarding, and player pathways is desirable
  • Commitment to our community ethos and willingness to volunteer your time and expertise
