Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Volunteer role based in the West Midlands. The Volunteer will support project teams with day-to-day tasks such as organizing project documentation, assisting with basic data entry, and helping prepare reports and presentations. Responsibilities may include:

The role is designed to provide practical exposure to a professional consultancy environment and an understanding of how engineering projects are delivered.

Qualifications

  • Interest in civil or structural engineering, construction, or related disciplines, with a willingness to learn and contribute to project work.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including attention to detail when handling documents, data, and project records.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with team members and preparing basic project materials.
  • Comfort using common office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentations), with an interest in learning about BIM and digital project tools.
  • Ability to work on-site in the West Midlands, follow guidance from supervisors, and collaborate respectfully in a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
  • Reliability, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to maintaining professional standards and confidentiality.
  • Relevant studies or training in engineering, construction, or technical subjects are beneficial but not mandatory.
