Company Description

Avanti House Secondary School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Stanmore, in the London Borough of Harrow. Established in 2012, it is a Hindu faith free school and part of the Avanti Schools Trust. Role Description

The Volunteer Admin Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based at Avanti House Secondary School in Stanmore. This role involves providing general administrative support to school staff, including managing correspondence, preparing documents, and maintaining records and filing systems. The Volunteer Admin Assistant will assist with data entry, photocopying, scanning, and other clerical tasks to ensure smooth office operations. The role requires working closely with the administrative and teaching teams while maintaining confidentiality and a professional, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong Administrative Assistance and Clerical Skills, including document preparation, filing, and data entry.
  • Professional Phone Etiquette and Communication skills, with the ability to handle enquiries clearly and courteously.
  • Experience or aptitude in Executive Administrative Assistance, such as scheduling, meeting support, and record management.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a school environment and interact respectfully with learners, staff, families, and visitors.
  • Basic IT proficiency, including familiarity with email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people; willingness to complete any required background checks.
  • Previous experience in an office or educational setting is beneficial but not essential; training and support will be provided.
