About Preston Muslim Forum

Preston Muslim Forum is a registered charity supporting people of all ages, faiths, cultures and backgrounds across Preston.

We provide services and facilities that improve people’s life chances, with particular expertise in reaching communities who face barriers to mainstream support. We’re looking for a compassionate, organised coordinator to help our volunteers feel valued and deliver activities that reflect the needs of the people we serve.

About the Role

Reporting to our Business Manager, you’ll recruit, train and support volunteers while developing an inclusive programme of community activities. You’ll build relationships with residents, colleagues and partner organisations, helping people get involved and contribute their ideas.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruiting, training and supervising volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds
  • Matching volunteers with suitable opportunities and ensuring they receive appropriate guidance
  • Planning and managing activities that support participants’ social, mental, physical, emotional and intellectual needs
  • Involving service users in designing and evaluating activities
  • Promoting volunteering opportunities and projects, including through social media
  • Maintaining accurate volunteer and activity records, monitoring outcomes and preparing reports
  • Building links with external agencies and keeping referral and signposting information up to date
  • Promoting equality, diversity, inclusion and confidentiality throughout your work

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
