Are you a vegan wildlife enthusiast who wants to make a difference and protect UK wildlife? We’re looking for a volunteer to join our small, friendly team as an Assistant Website Manager.

This remote, flexible, part-time role (5 hrs/wk) is ideal for someone interested in website management and improving user experience while supporting a cause that prioritises individual animal wellbeing and humane solutions to human-animal conflict.

Role Summary

  • Hold 1-1 meetings every other week with members of the Website Team to support their content creation and ensure it aligns with Verify Humanity’s aims and values.
  • Help assign and manage their task flow.
  • Hold a meeting every week with the Founder/Team to plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade the organisation's website. In particular, restructuring the website to reflect our topics and how we fulfil them.
  • Ensure the Website Team meets Verify Humanity’s standards and goals.
  • A solid understanding of SEO and how to implement it.
  • Help us monitor website analytics to ensure targeted content.
  • Help us improve the website user experience.
  • Help identify and respond to any website security breaches.
  • Help us gradually work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2.

  • Computer and good internet connection.
  • Computer proficient.
  • Weekly online meeting to discuss ideas, measure progress and plan tasks.
  • Ideally, volunteer 5 hours a week.
  • Respond daily to emails from Mon - Fri (this helps enormously).
  • Reside in the UK to fulfil our insurance criteria.
  • Experience with Google Workspace.
  • Well-written and spoken English.
