We Are Seeking a Passionate Volunteer Coordinator!

Our ethos is centred around the principles of harm reduction, we provide non-judgmental, fact-based, information and advice surrounding drug and alcohol use and the associated risks. We aim to give young people and young adults the knowledge and skills to make more informed choices, to keep themselves and their peers aware, safe, and well when it comes to drugs/alcohol.
As a trusted and leading provider in the field, we are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our amazing team.

Full Time Hours:
37.5 per week
Contract Type:
Fixed Term Contract until end of March 2028
Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
About the role:
- Working in collaboration with service leaders and staff team to identify meaningful opportunities for volunteers, student placements, the Co-production Apprentice and the Marketing Apprentice.
- Creating and supporting a positive culture of volunteering within the service.
- Recruiting, training and supporting volunteers, student placements, the Co-production Apprentice and the Marketing Apprentice.
- Supporting the welfare and wellbeing of volunteers, students and apprentices.
- Managing a volunteer recruitment and support strategy within the service.
- Ensuring that Change Grow Live values are at the heart of everything we do through values-based decision making and leadership.
- Working collaboratively and reflectively with the assigned Regional Volunteering Lead and other relevant service-based Volunteering Leads across the organisation.
- Developing internal and external links to attract volunteers, student placements and apprentices.
- Training colleagues in how to support and supervise volunteers, providing direct line-management supervision when required.
- Supporting volunteers, students and apprentices to follow Change Grow Live policies, procedures and values.

About You:
To be a great fit for this role, you should possess:
- Knowledge & experience of working with young people and/or young adults
- Experienced in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers
- Knowledge of the issues & challenges faced by young people & young adults (those aged 16 to 25)
- Working knowledge of safeguarding children & vulnerable adults
- Experienced in delivering learning and training to others
- Accomplished written and verbal skills and a high degree of IT competency
- Ability to employ a professional, empathic, and non-judgmental approach
- Capable, committed and influential leader
- Excellent time management, team working, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to respond flexibly to the demands of the post
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident, energetic and highly driven
- A commitment to diversity and equal opportunities
- Willingness to travel with overnight stays.
