Volunteer Coordinator
Resolute is looking for a passionate, friendly and organised Volunteer Coordinator to join our growing team.
Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. We need someone who can make them feel welcomed, valued, supported and inspired to make a difference.
What difference will you make?
The Volunteer Coordinator plays a vital role within Resolute Women’s Support Services. Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do, helping us provide compassionate, survivor-led support to women and families affected by domestic abuse.
The Volunteer Coordinator will ensure that every volunteer feels welcomed, valued, supported and confident in their role. They will help recruit the right people, organise rotas, provide guidance and training, and make sure volunteers are matched with opportunities that suit their skills and experience.
As Resolute continues to grow, this role is essential in helping us build a strong, reliable and caring volunteer team. By supporting our volunteers, the Volunteer Coordinator will directly strengthen the services we provide and help us reach even more women and children in our community.
This is more than an administrative role. It is an opportunity to motivate people, build a positive team culture and make a real difference to the future of Resolute.

- Able to solve problems calmly – confident dealing with concerns, misunderstandings or last-minute changes.
- Committed to Resolute’s values – passionate about supporting women and families affected by domestic abuse.
- Trauma-informed – understands how trauma can affect behaviour, communication and confidence.
- Flexible and proactive – willing to take initiative and adapt as Resolute continues to grow.

Experience in volunteer management, safeguarding, recruitment or working within a charity.

What will you be doing?
Main Responsibilities
- Support the recruitment and induction of new volunteers.
- Respond to volunteer enquiries and arrange informal meetings.
- Help match volunteers to suitable roles based on their skills, interests and availability.
- Maintain regular contact with volunteers and provide ongoing support.
- Coordinate volunteer rotas and help ensure activities are appropriately staffed.
- Keep accurate and confidential volunteer records.
- Help organise volunteer training, supervision and team meetings.
- Check that volunteers understand Resolute’s policies, safeguarding procedures and professional boundaries.
- Recognise and celebrate the contribution of volunteers.
- Help resolve minor concerns and report any serious issues to the CEO or Operations Manager.
- Encourage a welcoming, inclusive and trauma-informed environment.
- Support volunteers working within The Lotus café, community hub, support groups, events and other Resolute activities.
- Assist with volunteer recruitment campaigns and community events.
- Gather feedback from volunteers to help improve their experience.
