Kent Community Energy Seeks a New Director

Kent Community Energy (KCE) is looking to appoint a new Director with particular skills in governance and accountability; law, HR and particularly company secretarial experience, preferably in charities and/or cooperatives. This will help guide the next stage of our development and support our mission of creating a fairer, more sustainable energy future for Kent.

As a community-owned energy society, KCE develops renewable energy projects that tackle climate change, reduce fuel poverty and reinvest profits back into local communities. Following the successful raising of more than £1M through our current community share offer, we are expanding our portfolio of community-owned solar and battery projects across the county.

To support this growth, we are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Board. We welcome applications from people with a wide range of professional backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. While expertise in areas such as governance, finance, communications, project delivery, renewable energy or community development would be valuable, we are equally interested in hearing from people who share our values and are motivated to contribute their skills to a growing community benefit society.
