About The Role
Associations International is seeking a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to join the International Coaching Federation (ICF) team. This role supports programs and activities that help volunteers stay connected, informed, and engaged with ICF. This role works closely with staff, volunteer leaders, and members to support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, recognition, and ongoing participation across the organization.
The coordinator helps maintain volunteer resources, supports engagement initiatives, tracks participation data, and assists with volunteer communication through ICF's online platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional interested in member engagement, volunteer management, learning and development, or association management.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Support & Engagement
- Serve as point of contact for staff and volunteer leaders regarding volunteer engagement activities.
- Support volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and recognition programs.
- Help create a welcoming and positive experience for volunteers.
- Assist with volunteer communications and engagement campaigns.
- Respond to questions and provide administrative support related to volunteer programs.

Program & Administrative Support
- Maintain volunteer resources, guides, templates, and program materials.
- Assist with coordinating volunteer committees, communities, and leadership groups.
- Support the planning and execution of volunteer-related initiatives and events.
- Help ensure volunteer records and information remain accurate and up to date.
Community Platform Support
- Maintain volunteer areas within ICF Engage, including community groups, resource libraries, and volunteer pages.
- Assist with creating and scheduling communications, discussion posts, and engagement activities.
- Support administration of volunteer management tools and systems.
- Troubleshoot basic user questions and escalate technical issues as needed.
Data & Reporting
- Track volunteer participation and engagement metrics.
- Assist in preparing reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
- Help gather feedback from volunteers and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate volunteer data and records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in customer service, member engagement, volunteer programs, event coordination, nonprofit organizations, associations, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based platforms.
- Experience working with volunteers, members, or community groups preferred.
- Experience using association management systems, CRM platforms, learning management systems, or online community platforms preferred.
- Experience supporting events, training programs, or engagement initiatives preferred.
