🎮 Volunteer Game Designer – Sleepy Bard Studios
Sleepy Bard Studios is looking for a Game Designer to join our volunteer indie development team!
We’re an affected start-up indie studio currently working on Lumberin Jack, a 3D platformer set in Canada — including our perpetually-on-fire Ember Woods demo level. 🔥🌲
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is familiar with Unreal Engine 5
- Has a good understanding of game design and gameplay mechanics
- Has worked on game jams, prototypes, or small game projects
- Enjoys coming up with and iterating on gameplay ideas
- Is comfortable collaborating with a small, remote indie team
- Has examples of their work they can show us

What you'll be doing
- Designing and refining gameplay mechanics
- Helping develop gameplay ideas and player experiences
- Working with the team to prototype and iterate on ideas
- Contributing to level/gameplay design
- Playtesting and providing feedback
- Helping shape the overall player experience

This is a volunteer position with Sleepy Bard Studios, so it’s a great opportunity to gain experience working as part of an indie development team and build your portfolio.
