Overview

Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live. Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation. Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers, and make a real difference?

Responsibilities

  • The garden at CGL York is in need of some TLC.
  • A group from Aviva did a great job of tidying it up but now it needs some gardeners to tend for it on a regular basis.
  • Do you live in York and fancy being responsible for creating and maintaining a space which makes a real difference to those who use it?
  • The garden runs next to the City Walls from Micklegate Bar and is a real sun-trap.
  • It is home to all sorts of wildlife - foxes / birds.
  • Space to plant up as you want.
  • No Fixed hours - maybe one or two days / half days a month.
  • Tools provided.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
