Join our Team as a Volunteer!

Volunteering with Change Grow Live is a great way to make a real difference in people’s lives whilst gaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community, develop new skills, or meet like-minded people, there are plenty of reasons to get involved.

Most of our volunteer opportunities don’t need any special qualifications. We’ll make sure you get all the training and support you need. All we ask is that you're kind, open-minded, and passionate about supporting people.

Everyone is welcome at Change Grow Live. As a volunteer, you will be treated with respect and accepted for who you are.

Responsibilities

Purpose of role

At Change Grow Live, we believe groups are a great way to engage and connect with those who use our services. We therefore offer a wide range of Structured Groupwork Programmes including Atlas Recovery Program and SMART Recovery as well as other semi-structured groups.

As a Group Work Support Volunteer, you will be able to support with the facilitation and preparation of a range of structured groups both physical and online. This will include promoting groups to service users, reminding them of upcoming sessions, and engaging with those who do not attend. You can also be involved in making motivational calls to encourage attendance and promote a range of community-based recovery activities. You will be provided with training and supported to eventually be able to take the lead in delivering some of the SMART and semi-structured groups and provide one-to-one support to clients.

As part of your journey with us, attending our training sessions is essential to support you in your role. Our sessions will equip you with what you need to thrive in your volunteer role.
