About Always Win Limited
Always Win Limited is a financial services company developing factual and informational analysis reports for stock-market investors. The company’s reports are intended to provide investors with structured information and analysis rather than personalised investment advice, investment recommendations, or buy/sell/hold instructions. As the business develops, Always Win Limited is preparing for potential future Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) authorisation and/or registration. We are therefore seeking a recent law graduate with a strong interest in financial-services regulation to assist the Company Owner with FCA regulatory research and the development of an appropriate suite of compliance policies.
The Role
Always Win Limited is seeking a Volunteer Legal Advisor – FCA Compliance for an initial three-month voluntary placement. The volunteer will undertake legal and regulatory research concerning the FCA regulatory framework applicable to the company’s proposed activities. The central objective of the placement will be to identify relevant FCA requirements and draft a comprehensive suite of FCA-compliance policies for review by the Company Owner. This role is intended to provide a recent law graduate with substantive experience in financial-services regulatory research, legal analysis, and compliance policy drafting. The volunteer will report directly to the Company Owner.
Key Responsibilities
The Volunteer Legal Advisor will:
- Independently research the FCA Handbook and relevant UK financial-services legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Examine Always Win Limited’s proposed business model, services, investor reports, website content, customer journey, marketing materials, and relevant operational processes.
- Assess which FCA permissions, regulatory requirements, and compliance obligations may apply to the company’s activities.
- Identify the compliance policies that the company should have in place in preparation for potential FCA authorisation and/or registration.
- Draft a comprehensive suite of FCA-compliance policies appropriate to the company’s proposed activities.
- Clearly reference relevant FCA Handbook provisions, rules, and guidance within or alongside drafted policies where appropriate.
- Conduct detailed legal research to support conclusions contained within the policies.
- Ensure policy documents are written clearly, professionally, and consistently.
- Present draft policies to the Company Owner for review.
- Explain the regulatory reasoning underlying significant policy provisions when required.
- Attend a weekly progress meeting with the Company Owner, either remotely or in person depending on the volunteer’s preference.
- Maintain strict confidentiality concerning company information and documentation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

- A complete suite of FCA-compliance policies, supported by appropriate regulatory research and references to relevant FCA Handbook requirements, ready for review and potential adoption by the Company Owner.
The volunteer will also consider which FCA permissions and regulatory requirements may apply to Always Win Limited’s business model when determining the policies required.

Applicants should have:
- An undergraduate or Master’s degree in Law.
