Help build the team that's transforming access to clean water in Uganda

Equal Aqua is an award-winning NGO working to ensure that communities across Uganda have access to safe and sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services. We support schools, refugee communities and marginalised populations facing the greatest WASH inequalities, helping create healthier and more equitable futures.

With a diverse team of 30+ volunteers based across more than 10 countries, we are now looking for an experienced People Manager to join our global leadership team and help shape the future of our growing organisation.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR, People, Talent or Organisational Development professional who wants to use their expertise to make a meaningful impact internationally.

As our People Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of an inclusive people strategy, helping us attract, engage, develop and retain passionate volunteers who are committed to our mission.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing and implementing Equal Aqua's People and HR strategy
  • Leading volunteer recruitment campaigns and improving talent acquisition processes
  • Designing and enhancing volunteer onboarding experiences
  • Driving volunteer engagement, retention and performance initiatives
  • Supporting learning and development opportunities across the organisation
  • Reviewing and strengthening organisational values, policies and culture
  • Building a positive, inclusive and collaborative team environment across our global volunteer network
  • Contributing to organisational reporting and representing Equal Aqua externally when required

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
