Global Policy Network (GPN) is a proactive global health think tank that connects policy leaders, market access experts, academics, payers, innovators, and civil society to advance evidence-based policies. The organization focuses on improving access to healthcare and education, strengthening affordability, and promoting sustainable and equitable health systems worldwide.
Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 3 and SDG 17, GPN works at the intersection of policy, strategy, and implementation to drive meaningful change. GPN fosters collaborative dialogue on topics such as academic research, regulatory and HTA evolution, market access, policy reform, health equity, and innovation adoption.
Volunteers and contributors gain exposure to new ideas, innovative policies, and global partnerships aimed at making the world healthier.
Role Description
The Volunteer Policy Analyst will support GPN’s work by conducting policy research, synthesizing evidence, and developing insights related to global health, education, and sustainability.

Day-to-day tasks include:


Get help with your application

- Reviewing academic and policy literature
- Analyzing regulatory and market access frameworks
- Drafting briefs, reports, and policy recommendations
- Preparing clear summaries and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with the development of proposals
- Contributing to discussion papers and thought leadership content
The role also involves:
- Collaborating with a diverse international network of professionals
- Participating in virtual meetings
- Helping identify emerging trends and opportunities for policy reform
This is a volunteer, remote role that offers flexible hours and opportunities for professional development and global impact.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform Policy Research and general Research, including gathering, reviewing, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative evidence.
- Strong Policy Development skills, with experience or interest in drafting policy briefs, recommendations, and strategic frameworks.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including critical thinking, data interpretation, and structured problem-solving in policy contexts.
- Effective Communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly in written and verbal formats for diverse audiences.
- Relevant academic background or training in public health, public policy, international relations, economics, or a related field.
- Interest in global health, health equity, sustainability, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
- Comfort working in a remote, multicultural environment and collaborating across time zones using digital tools.
- Prior experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or research (professional, academic, or volunteer) is beneficial but not required.
