Role Description
The Volunteer Policy Analyst will support Abeyie Innovation UK’s mission by researching, analyzing, and developing policy recommendations related to innovation and economic development. In this remote role, the individual will review existing policies and regulatory frameworks, gather and interpret data, and prepare concise briefs and reports to inform internal decisions and external advocacy. - Conducting desk research
- Drafting policy documents
- Summarizing complex information for diverse audiences
- Contributing to position papers and consultation responses
The role also involves collaborating with team members and stakeholders, presenting findings, and helping identify emerging trends and opportunities in the UK innovation landscape. This is a volunteer, remote position that offers flexible hours and the opportunity to gain experience in policy analysis within a forward-looking organization.

Qualifications
- Strong Policy Development and Policy Research skills to design, assess, and refine policy proposals.
- Robust Analytical Skills and Research abilities to collect, interpret, and synthesize quantitative and qualitative information.
- Clear and professional Communication skills to present complex findings in accessible written and verbal formats.
- Familiarity with innovation, economic policy, or public policy frameworks, and an interest in the UK innovation ecosystem.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and collaborate respectfully with a diverse team.
- A background in public policy, economics, political science, or a related field (through education or experience) is beneficial but not strictly required.
