Support the procurement and supply chain operations for our IFA Retreat project by sourcing suppliers, coordinating purchasing, maintaining inventory records, and helping build efficient procurement processes for a growing social enterprise.

This role will help establish efficient procurement and supply chain operations that are essential for the successful development and future operation of the IFA Retreat.
The volunteer will strengthen our ability to source quality goods and services, maintain organised procurement records, and build positive supplier relationships. By supporting purchasing, inventory management, and procurement administration, they will help improve operational efficiency, transparency, and cost control.
Their contribution will ensure departments have the resources they need while helping the organisation develop scalable procurement processes that support long-term growth. Ultimately, this role will enable us to use our resources responsibly and maximise the impact of our mission.

Desirable Experience And Skills
- 3+ years experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or administration.
- 3+ years experience maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Knowledge of supplier management and purchasing processes.
- Good Microsoft Office or Google Workspace skills, particularly Excel/Sheets.
- Experience using procurement or inventory management systems is an advantage.
- Understanding of budgeting and cost control is desirable.
- Knowledge of Nigerian procurement markets or suppliers is beneficial.
- Interest in African cultural heritage, community development, or social impact projects is welcomed but not essential.

What will you be doing?
The Volunteer Procurement & Supply Chain Officer will support the procurement and supply chain activities required to develop and operate the IFA Retreat. Working collaboratively with other departments, they will help ensure goods and services are sourced efficiently, ethically, and cost-effectively.

Key responsibilities include
- Research and identify suitable suppliers for goods and services.
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and track procurement requests.
- Maintain accurate supplier databases and procurement records.
- Assist with supplier onboarding and relationship management.
- Monitor inventory levels and support stock control processes.
- Help maintain procurement documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Support budgeting by helping track procurement costs.
- Liaise with internal teams to understand purchasing requirements.
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare procurement reports and maintain organised records.
- Support continuous improvement of procurement and supply chain processes.
- Ensure procurement activities align with organisational values and operational needs.
The volunteer will contribute to sourcing materials, equipment, furnishings, supplies, and other resources required for the development and future operation of the IFA Retreat while gaining valuable practical experience in procurement and supply chain management.
