Volunteer Receptionist
Join us as a Volunteer Receptionist and help create a warm, welcoming environment for patients and visitors while supporting our Hospice Team with a variety of tasks.
Your contribution will assist in streamlining daily duties to allow the hospice to operate smoothly, making a meaningful impact on those in our care.
Availability:
- 2.5 hours, weekday evenings
- Time: 16:30 - 19:00
- Location: Marie Curie Hospice, Marie Curie Drive, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE4 6SS
- Criteria: Minimum 18 years of age.
What you'll do:
- Warmly welcome and greet everyone entering the hospice, ensuring security guidelines are followed
- Receive deliveries and notify relevant staff
- Handle telephone calls with a polite manner and relay messages
- Escort visitors to areas within the hospice
- Communicate patient arrivals to relevant staff
- Assist with transport needs - booking taxis
