Join our Team as a Volunteer! Volunteering with Change Grow Live is a great way to make a real difference in people’s lives whilst gaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community, develop new skills, or meet like-minded people, there are plenty of reasons to get involved. Most of our volunteer opportunities don’t need any special qualifications. We’ll make sure you get all the training and support you need. All we ask is that you're kind, open-minded and passionate about supporting people. Everyone is welcome at Change Grow Live. As a volunteer you will be treated with respect and accepted for who you are.

Responsibilities

Purpose of role:
It’s often overwhelming for the people we support to make changes in their lives, as a recovery coach volunteer you will be using your own experiences of recovery to help others and demonstrate change is possible.
You will be working alongside the Recovery Support Workers, Care Coordinators and wider teams to promote recovery and support service users on a one to one basis, guiding them to achieve their goals and build recovery capital. This can include supporting them to attend a group or appointments, helping them to complete application forms and access external support from services such housing, mutual aid, and community projects. You will also be making telephone calls to service users providing them with a listening ear, guidance and support. You will be a positive role model to the service users motivating, encouraging, and inspiring them to reach their potential.
