To promote volunteering and recruit volunteers from ethnically diverse communities living in Tameside for local charity, Being There, which offers support to people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, their carers and families.

  • 21 hours a week, worked flexibly during weekdays fixed term for two years as part of a lottery project.

  • £11,411 per annum + car and mileage allowance, pension and other benefits (details on request). Tameside based with local travel and to other Being There branches as required.

The role requires a community worker, experienced in recruiting volunteers. Good interpersonal skills, a flexible approach to work and a clear understanding of diversity and inclusion, as well as safeguarding and confidentiality. Competence in Microsoft Office. Full driving licence and use of a car essential. DBS Enhanced Disclosure and references required.
