RETAIL VOLUNTEER The Brick Charity Shop (WN7)

Salary: Volunteer Role

Hours: Any 2 days or more of your choice – Monday to Saturday – 10.00am to 2.00pm

Contract Length: Ongoing Volunteering role

Holidays:

  • Reimbursement will be given for the following:
    • Max of £4 per day – Lunch cost
    • Travel Expense – Daily Bus Ticket

Based At: The Brick Charity Shop, 95 Bradshawgate, Leigh WN7 4ND

Responsible To: Retail Team Lead

Accountable To: Queens Hall Action on Poverty

Job Purpose:

Main Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting and serving customers, providing a high standard of customer service
  • Helping with stock processing, including sorting, checking, pricing and hanging.
  • To assist with the display of stock, so that the shop looks inviting.
  • Cash handling and accurate operation of the till, once training has taken place.
  • Keeping the shop premises clean and tidy.
  • Working positively as a team alongside the other staff and volunteers.
  • Greeting shoppers
  • Work on the till and card machine
  • Training and support
  • Attend any relevant training and refresher sessions
  • Undertake Mandatory training as relevant to your role

All volunteers will be required to complete a DBS check, the volunteering role will commence, once this has been processed and cleared and an Induction has been completed. The cost and organisation of the DBS check will be covered by The Brick.
