To support the Website Manager in maintaining, developing, and promoting the Daz In The Hat Radio website, ensuring it remains up to date, visible, and engaging for listeners, presenters, and unsigned artists.

- Increased online visibility: By assisting with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), keyword tagging, and metadata, the volunteer will help ensure the station’s website ranks more effectively on search engines. This will attract a wider audience, both within the UK and internationally, leading to increased listenership and greater exposure for the artists the station supports.

What are we looking for?
The Website Manager’s Assistant (volunteer) should bring a combination of technical ability, creativity, reliability, and a genuine interest in supporting the work of Daz In The Hat Radio Community Interest Company.
- Technical ability: Understanding of website management, including experience with content management systems (such as WordPress), updating web pages, and uploading content. A willingness to learn and develop new skills, particularly in coding (HTML/CSS) and website functionality.
- SEO knowledge: A good working knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), understanding the importance of keywords, tags, metadata, and their contribution to improving a website’s visibility on search engines. Experience in applying SEO techniques will help the organisation expand its reach.
- Digital marketing interest: Familiarity with tools such as Google Ads, analytics platforms, or social media integration would be advantageous. The volunteer should be comfortable supporting promotional campaigns and understanding how online behaviour can be used to increase engagement and traffic.
- Attention to detail: Ensuring that website content is accurate, up to date, and presented professionally. This includes checking schedules, presenter information, and blog content, as well as ensuring consistency in formatting and branding across the site.
- Communication skills: The ability to liaise with the Website Manager and other team members, including bloggers, social media officers, and presenters. Clear, professional, and timely communication is key, particularly when working remotely.
- Organisational skills: Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet agreed deadlines without constant supervision.
- Proactive and problem-solving mindset: Willingness to identify potential improvements, suggest new ideas, and assist in resolving any issues that arise with the website.
- Interest in music, radio, or supporting unsigned artists: Understanding the audience and purpose of the station will help the volunteer contribute more effectively.

What will you be doing?
The Website Manager’s Assistant will:
- Assist in maintaining and updating the station website.
- Support with uploading and editing website content, including:
- Station schedule
- Presenter profiles
- Blogs and promotional content
- Assist in ensuring the website remains live, functional, and user-friendly.
- Support Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to improve visibility and reach.
- Assist with basic coding and website development tasks where required.
- Add and manage tags, keywords, and metadata for improved search performance.
- Support promotional activities through the website and external platforms.
- Assist with setting up and monitoring Google Ads campaigns (where applicable).
- Work closely with the Website Manager and relevant team members to ensure content accuracy and consistency.
- Use station email for all station communications.
- Communicate in a professional manner at all times.
