Volunteers are essential to Change Grow Live, bringing valuable skills, for some lived experience, and passion that strengthen our teams, improve outcomes, help us break down barriers and support meaningful change for the people we support. We are committed to valuing, supporting, and developing our volunteers.
Change Grow Live believe that those who access our services should be at the heart of everything that we do and those who have lived experience have a unique and valuable insight into how our services can work best. In this role you will help us to engage with the people who access our services, making sure their voices are heard and that they have say in how we run services.
Responsibilities
An important part of the role is listening to people and sharing what you have heard with the service, representing their views, and using their feedback to help inform how we develop and improve our services. You will help to ensure people hear about any decisions or changes that are made because of their feedback. You will be working with Change Grow Live staff and connecting with the wider community.

This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about ensuring that the voice of the service user is heard. You will be provided with all the skills, training and support you will need to undertake the role.
Key Activities:
- Engage with those who access our services, by listening to their views and asking for their feedback
- Represent the views and opinions of those who access our services
- Provide feedback and updates to those who access our services informing them of any changes and decisions.
- Work with staff and community to improve and develop the service
- Lead on service user meetings
- Promote and encourage ongoing service development in a variety of different ways within the service and community.
- Create a safe space for the people who access services to connect, be open and tell us what they honestly think and believe
- Be part of interview panels for new staff
- Help to hear the voice of the underrepresented

- Please note that, if successful in this recruitment process, you will be required to attend the following mandatory training dates:
- Tuesday 3rd November 2026 - Induction 10am to 4pm
- Tuesday 10th November 2026 - Boundaries and Confidentiality 10am to 4pm
- Tuesday 17th November 2026 - Drug and Alcohol Awareness 10am to 4pm
- Tuesday 24th November - Harm Minimisation and Naloxone 10am to 4pm
- Tuesday 1st December - Shared Lived Experience Framework 10am to 1pm
