Role Description
The Volunteer Strength and Conditioning Coach is a part-time role that supports the physical preparation and performance of players across the club. This is a hybrid position, based in Guildford, with some work-from-home flexibility for planning, documentation, and remote coordination. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Designing and delivering strength and conditioning sessions
- Conducting warm-ups and cool-downs
- Monitoring player fitness and recovery

The coach will collaborate with football coaches and medical staff to align physical training with team objectives and player welfare. Additional duties may include:
- Maintaining training records
- Providing feedback to players
- Helping implement evidence-based conditioning programs suitable for different age and ability levels
Qualifications
- Knowledge of strength and conditioning principles, including resistance training, speed, agility, and endurance development.
- Understanding of sports science concepts such as periodization, recovery, and injury prevention.
- Ability to plan and deliver structured training sessions, adapting programs to different playing positions and fitness levels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support players in a team environment.
- Organizational skills to manage schedules, track player progress, and coordinate with coaching staff in a hybrid working setup.
- Relevant certification or coursework in strength and conditioning, sports science, physiotherapy, or a related field is highly beneficial.
- Experience working with football or team sports athletes, ideally in a club or academy setting, is an advantage.
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and equal opportunity, with willingness to complete any required background checks or training.
