About The Affiliated Organization
The textile and creative industries touch every layer of society, yet they remain among the most polluting and exploitative on earth. Hecho por Nosotros (HxN) exists to change that. Founded by Adriana Marina — PhD in Economics, Ashoka Fellow, and social entrepreneur — HxN is a UN ECOSOC-accredited NGO that has spent 17 years building a different vision of the creative economy: one where indigenous knowledge is protected, artisans are recognized as innovators, and technology strengthens communities rather than displacing them. Our sister organization, animaná, is a certified B Corp social enterprise and ethical fashion brand that translates this vision into practice, combining ancestral Andean and Patagonian techniques with contemporary design, recognized multiple times as B Corp Best for the World in Changemakers & Community. Together, we have mobilized a living ecosystem of change: 8,500+ artisans, 20,000+ natural fiber producers, 50 medium firms, and 80+ organizations across Latin America, Africa, and Asia, building value chains that are fair, traceable, and regenerative. Our reach is global and growing:
- AI For Good, Ashoka WISE PROGRAM. AI can be the tool to integrate artisans producers into the value chains while regenerating the System. Repository of arts, culture and traditions, iconography.
- EU Erasmus+ project FashionSkills4Better: 9 institutions across 6 countries embedding circular fashion into vocational education
- 30+ official UN Side Events, with a permanent UN presence
- Featured in Times Higher Education, UNEP's Sustainability and Circularity in the Textile Value Chain, and a Canal+ international documentary.
- Recognized at Stanford's AI & SDGs dialogue for our work at the intersection of Artificial and Ancestral Intelligence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
