Vice President, Business Manager - Compliance Division
MUFG, a globally respected financial institution, is seeking a Vice President, Business Manager to join its Compliance Division in London. Key Responsibilities
As Vice President, Business Manager at MUFG in London, you will be instrumental in supporting resource planning initiatives that underpin the success of both Core Compliance and the Global Financial Crimes Office for EMEA. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating closely with senior leaders across multiple departments, Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, to ensure seamless delivery of business plans and effective utilisation of resources. You will take ownership of designing operating models that maximise efficiency while maintaining compliance standards. Your ability to communicate complex information clearly will be essential as you manage internal communications strategies and lead key initiatives such as return-to-office programmes. Your proactive approach will ensure that all stakeholders remain connected through transparent processes that support MUFG’s reputation for excellence.
- Act as a primary contact for resource planning and management, ensuring optimal allocation of personnel and budgetary resources across the Compliance Division.
- Partner strategically with business heads to establish and develop functional strategies that align with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Develop robust business plans while tracking progress against key milestones, ensuring alignment with both medium-term and long-term staffing strategies.
- Participate actively as an engaged member of the EMEA leadership team, contributing insights that drive operational effectiveness and foster cross-functional collaboration.
- Design and deliver target operating models by utilising available resources efficiently within established budgets.
- Provide accurate management information on resource planning by partnering closely with Finance and HR teams to ensure data integrity.
- Interface regularly with Finance for budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring performance against set targets; oversee invoicing processes in conjunction with Procurement as needed.
- Create and execute communication strategies including town hall messaging and maintenance of the intranet site to ensure clear internal communications.
- Manage all offsite events and social committee activities while establishing office workspace strategies and leading return-to-office initiatives.
- Support the Head of Planning in meeting head office reporting requirements; oversee business continuity planning; proactively identify risks within the Business Management function; maintain strong stakeholder relationships throughout MUFG.
