Every day, our teams innovate across the world of finance. We collaborate to work smarter, while making a difference. We believe in diversity and inclusivity, giving a voice to everyone on the team. And we celebrate our success together. If you want to make an impact in fintech, we’d like to know: Are you FIS?

About the Role:

This executive-level role is responsible for the second line of defence Compliance oversight of all FIS regulated entities and contractually obligated business units globally. Each regulated entity has an assigned Compliance Officer (CO) and, where applicable, a Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) responsible for creating and maintaining best-in-class regulatory compliance programs.

This position will provide expert leadership, compliance advice and guidance, business support, and regulatory engagement support to the Compliance Officers and their respective teams and will work closely with the Global Head of Financial Crime Compliance. The position reports directly to the FIS Chief Compliance Officer and plays a pivotal role in leading the development and oversight of a robust control environment across FIS’ global regulated entity footprint, ensuring continued compliance with state, federal, and international regulatory requirements.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Manage COs/MLROs for FIS regulated entities and relevant contractually obligated business units.
  • Lead the centralized oversight and management of FIS’ regulated entity Compliance teams.
  • Develop and implement a framework to deliver clarity and consistency in processes, controls, governance, reporting, and oversight for regulated entities and contractually obligated business units.
  • Balance the needs of sovereign regulated entities with adherence to FIS parent Company policies and governance frameworks.
  • Engaging with/reporting to regulators as required, overseeing regulatory inspections/exams, and supporting COs/MLROs in developing effective strategies to mitigate regulatory risk.
  • Fostering strong stakeholder relationships across FIS to develop knowledge and awareness of, and support for, regulated entity compliance requirements e.g. outsourcing.
  • Leading for the regulated entities on significant regulatory change programs as required.
  • Support M&A due diligence and FIS integration efforts with respect to newly acquired regulated entities, establishing a Compliance program consistent with the FIS Compliance governance framework.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the COs/MLROs for all regulated entities and contractually obligated business units.
  • Coordinate closely with the Global Head Financial Crime Compliance to ensure alignment on relevant policies, procedures, risk assessments, regulatory change, and governance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
