Job Description
VP Customers
Derby (Hybrid – minimum 3 days on site)
Full Time
We have a fantastic opportunity for a VP Customers to join the Customers & Services Team in Civil Aerospace in Derby.
The Vice President will lead the overall Rolls-Royce relationship with all Customers and potential Customers within their sub-territory: France.
You will deliver business performance through focus on customer satisfaction for Rolls-Royce products and services through the complete life cycle, whilst maximizing the sales and commercial optimisation opportunities and managing internal and external stakeholders beyond the customers.
Coverage: AFKLM, CMA CGM, Corsair, Air Caraibes, Airbus Beluga and any other future French customers.
Other external stakeholders: Airbus, Boeing, lessors, financiers, political affairs.
What you will be doing:
As the Vice President Customers you will:
- Manage the overall customer interface through the regional structure, developing organisational and cultural understanding between Rolls-Royce and its customers such that our business propositions deliver value to both throughout the product life cycle.
- Establish a sales and service strategy, commercial optimisation and upsell opportunities for the customers within the sub-territory to help deliver the regional FY and 5YP.
- Lead the multifunctional team allocated to the customer. Operate a robust, high performing structure for the designated territory with strong internal controls and accountabilities, operating with initiative, discipline and integrity.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the customer's view of Rolls-Royce and its competitors to effectively provide market intelligence to the business and effectively anticipate the needs of the customer. Develop and communicate the 1, 3 and 5-year Strategy (KAM).
- Understand the value levers of our business and customer review packs, structure deals to maximise profit and cash delivery.
- Take full accountability for the revenue and profit committed in FY and 5YP.
- Responsible for ensuring that risk management and compliance standards are rigorously applied within the sub territory.

Preferred qualifications:
- Qualified to at least degree level or equivalent industry experience.
Preferred requirements:
- A good understanding of Rolls-Royce products and services, airline value levers, financial acumen / understanding of CRP levers.
- Experience in at least one previous customer-facing role or strong understanding of airline business.
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen skills, and an ability to quickly grasp the value of different levers in a negotiation to ensure a positive outcome.
- Relationship management experience, and an ability to find mutually acceptable outcomes to customer challenges.
- Ability to consult, collaborate with, and influence across all levels, including leadership, both within and external to Rolls-Royce.
- Comfortable challenging legacy thinking and driving behavioural change.
- Possess the aptitude to lead a multi-disciplinary, diverse regional team to deliver agreed objectives.
- Good project management skills, and an ability to multi-task effectively.
- Strategic thinking, and an ability to anticipate customer needs from a good understanding of their medium-long term direction.
- Each Vice President must exemplify high ethical standards and a win right attitude at all times.
