The Opportunity
By embodying our core purpose of customer obsession, driving innovation, and delivering excellence, the VP, Finance- Office of the CFO will help ensure that every touchpoint is meaningful and contributes to our mission of redefining the possibilities in healthcare. The VP will assist the SVP, Finance & Business Development in leading the new Office of the CFO department and will be responsible for client-facing support. The role requires a strong background in healthcare finance, proven experience driving operational efficiency, and the leadership capabilities to onboard and lead a team of talented professionals to continuously advance Ensemble Health Partner's position as a leader in healthcare. This role will include business travel, as needed, up to 20%.
Job Responsibilities
- Leadership Decision Making: Makes day-to-day leadership decisions by securing and comparing information from multiple sources to identify issues; commits to an action after weighing alternative solutions against important criteria; effectively communicates decisions to the appropriate people and teams and holds them accountable. Drives results.
- Coaching & Building Talent: Achieves results through other leaders by empowering them and providing feedback, instruction and development (coaching the coach) to develop their own associates; plans and supports the growth of individual skills and abilities in preparation for their next role (building bench); focuses on retention of high performers.
- Delegation: Successfully shares authority and responsibilities with others to move decision making and accountability downward through the organization while accomplishing strategic priorities; maintains personal ownership of outcomes without excessive involvement.
- Leading Teams: Inspires and sustains team unity and engagement by developing, motivating, and guiding the team to achieve results together through productive relationships and work.
- Executive Communication: Clearly and succinctly conveys information and ideas; communicates in a focused and compelling way that captures and holds others’ attention.
- Program/Project Management: Demonstrates high accountability and responsibility for projects and programs from inception through completion/implementation; manages budget and resource planning and awareness to ensure maximized output, reduced waste and exceptional results.
- Strategic Partnering: Serves as a strategic partner to senior executives and operational leaders to align data, analytics, and AI capabilities to organizational priorities.
- Team Leadership: Builds, leads, and mentors a high-performing team; establishes departmental goals and objectives, evaluates performance, and fosters professional development and succession planning.
- Talent Management: Oversees recruitment, retention, and development strategies for finance talent; establishes a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and excellence within the department aligned with organizational values.
- Service Excellence: Establishes service excellence standards and accountability measures; ensures consistent delivery of trusted, timely, and high-impact analytics solutions to stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Other Duties: May be required to perform other job-related duties as requested.

Experience
- Master’s degree in healthcare management/administration or equivalent experience
- CPA/CFA preferred
- 8+ years of experience in healthcare finance with a focus on clinical and operational performance
- 7+ years of leadership experience
- Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, financial/reimbursement issues, and medical center/medical staff organizations
- Demonstrated advanced usage of AI and the management of teams using AI to lean into process and technological improvements, to include the exploration, experimentation, and application of AI.
- Working knowledge of Epic preferred
- Exhibits executive presence and comfortably works with executives at all levels
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence while recognizing the needs of others
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with ability to clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas
This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs dictate.
This position pays between $218K - $270K based on experience, and is eligible for incentives.
