About the Role

Brewer Morris is partnering exclusively with a highly successful and growing alternative investment platform to appoint a VP Finance. This is a #2 finance role and a senior position within the organisation - operating internationally across a portfolio of infrastructure and real asset investments.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will take ownership of financial reporting whilst also playing a key role across treasury, tax, governance and internal controls. The position offers significant visibility with senior leadership and the Board, alongside the opportunity to influence major strategic initiatives and organisational transformation projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong finance professional seeking a broad leadership role within a complex international investment environment.

The business are very proud of having created a high performance culture that also allows for everyone to enjoy their workplace and being around colleagues. Being a collegiate individual is paramount for this position. The role is senior within the finance function but it doesn't have direct reports so will require the individual to be very hands-on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all technical accounting and financial reporting matters across the group.
  • Act as the primary adviser to the CFO on IFRS developments and accounting policy.
  • Review and challenge quarterly reporting, NAV calculations and statutory financial statements prepared by external providers.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and oversee the annual audit and interim review process.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with complex accounting and reporting requirements across the group structure.
  • Assess and lead significant finance transformation initiatives, including potential changes to group reporting structures and consolidation processes.
  • Support treasury activities, including liquidity management, cash forecasting, financing arrangements and covenant compliance.
  • Assist in the oversight of foreign exchange and interest rate hedging programmes.
  • Support the management of international tax matters, tax governance and external advisor relationships.
  • Contribute to investment, refinancing and corporate structuring projects from an accounting and tax perspective.
  • Support board, audit committee and governance activities, including risk management and internal controls reviews.
  • Prepare and present papers and recommendations to senior stakeholders and directors.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
