About Parameta Solutions

Parameta Solutions is the Data & Analytics division of TP ICAP Group. The business provides clients with unbiased OTC content and proprietary data, in-depth insights across price discovery, risk management, benchmark and indices, and pre and post-trade analytics. Its post-trade solutions offering helps market participants control their counterparty and regulatory risks through a growing range of tools that manage balance-sheet exposure, as well as compression and optimisation services. The Data & Analytics division includes the following brands: Tullett Prebon Information, PVM Data Services, ICAP Information and Burton-Taylor Consulting.

Role Overview

The Head of Benchmarks & Indices will own Parameta Solutions’ global Benchmarks & Indices business, operating as a full profit-and-loss (P&L) owner with end-to-end accountability for its strategy, commercial performance and delivery. The role sets the strategic direction for the franchise and provides the intellectual, managerial and commercial leadership required to grow revenue, deepen client relationships and scale investible index and benchmark solutions across asset classes.

This is a senior leadership role with direct line management of the Benchmarks & Indices research and design, technical development, operations and sales specialist teams. It also leads cross-functional teams drawn from sales, marketing, data engineering, development and governance, aligning them behind a single roadmap and holding the pen on the commercial and strategic priorities for the business.

The role is ideally suited to a proven business leader with a strong quantitative and index pedigree — combining deep expertise in index methodologies, alternative risk premia and multi-asset solutions with a track record of running a commercially successful data or index franchise. You will act as the firm’s most senior representative for benchmarks and indices, internally and externally, and as the ultimate owner of the proposition, its governance and its P&L.

Key Responsibilities

P&L, Revenue & Growth

  • Own the Benchmarks & Indices P&L, with full accountability for revenue growth, cost management and commercial performance against plan.
  • Provide intellectual, managerial and commercial leadership to the business as a P&L owner, partnering effectively with dedicated technology, data engineering and infrastructure teams.
  • Identify, size and prioritise new revenue opportunities across the benchmark and index space, developing robust investment cases that weigh build, buy and partner options to secure the fastest route to market.
  • Lead business planning and budgeting for the franchise, allocating resources effectively, monitoring financial performance and making strategic investments that drive growth.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Build and maintain strong senior relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups, acting as the lead advocate for the proposition.
  • Assess product development challenges to find creative solutions, and establish and meet delivery schedules alongside related client implementations.

Product, Proposition & Platform Transformation

  • Drive the ongoing optimisation of the Benchmarks & Indices proposition, products and solutions to achieve the commercial and strategic goals of the business.
  • Own end-to-end management of the proposition on a global basis across all relevant functions — from concept and quantitative research through to launch and ongoing enhancement.
  • Lead the development of new investible index products across asset classes (Rates, Fixed Income, Credit, FX, Commodities, Equities), leveraging both traditional and alternative risk premia methodologies.
  • In partnership with technology, drive the strategic transformation of legacy platforms and calculation infrastructure to future-proof the business, assessing whether goals are best met by building, buying or partnering.
  • Drive innovation and differentiation across new and existing propositions to better address current and future client needs.

Governance, Risk & Control

  • Ensure all benchmark and index products comply with relevant regulation (e.g. EU BMR) and TP ICAP Group policies, and oversee the production and maintenance of index rulebooks, methodology disclosures and product documentation.
  • Own the control framework for the business, identifying and mitigating risks associated with strategic initiatives and developing contingency plans to respond to changing market conditions.
  • Oversee methodology validation, back-testing, historical analysis and risk assessment for new and existing index concepts.
