The Role
The infrastructure private equity firm is hiring a Vice President to join its Infrastructure investment team in London. This is a senior individual contributor and team leadership position covering primary fund investments, secondaries, and co-investments across European infrastructure and real assets. The role carries direct ownership of transaction execution and portfolio monitoring, with responsibility for managing and developing junior team members.
Likely Focus
- Lead origination of infrastructure investment opportunities across primary, secondary, and co-investment strategies
- Build and maintain GP and co-investment relationships to generate deal flow
- Direct screening and due diligence workstreams, including sector and market analysis, and coordinate input from advisors and internal specialists
- Review and stress-test financial models prepared by junior team members, including DCF, project finance, and LBO analyses
- Prepare and present investment materials for internal and external committees, covering investment theses, downside cases, sensitivities, and key risks
- Lead transaction execution and closing, including process management, negotiation support, and Q&A workstreams
- Direct ongoing monitoring of co-investments and the broader portfolio, including quarterly reporting, KPI tracking, and portfolio analytics
- Contribute to fundraising materials and respond to investor and consultant requests
- Support client presentations and participate in investor meetings and annual investor events
- Represent the firm at industry conferences and associations
- Manage, supervise, and develop Senior Associates, Associates, and Analysts
- Contribute to firm-wide initiatives outside core team responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policy

Expected Profile
- Eight or more years of relevant experience in infrastructure, energy, renewables, utilities, digital infrastructure, transport, or broader private markets investing, corporate finance, advisory, or asset management
- Demonstrated track record of leading investment execution end-to-end, including negotiation, legal documentation, and closing
- Prior experience with a GP, financial institution, or advisory firm
- Advanced financial modelling capability, including critically reviewing and stress-testing complex models and delivering decision-ready outputs under time pressure
- Strong command of valuation and deal mechanics, financing structures, and diligence workstreams
- Proven ability to identify and mitigate transaction risk
- Bachelor's degree in a numerate discipline (finance, commerce, business, mathematics, physics, or engineering) highly desirable
- MA, MSc, MBA, or CFA advantageous; FSA qualifications preferable
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with strong attention to detail
- Practical experience integrating AI tools into private equity investment processes
- Clear communicator, able to translate complex analysis into concise materials for senior decision makers and investment committees
- Organised and able to manage parallel workstreams under time pressure with limited supervision
- Strong problem-solving, influencing, and relationship-building skills across internal teams and external counterparties
- Demonstrated team management and mentoring capability
- Willingness to travel as required
