TM Forum is the global industry member alliance for telco and tech companies with over 800 communication service providers, vendors, hyperscalers, consultancies and system integrators, including the world’s top ten CSPs and top three hyperscalers. Role Purpose
The VP, IT is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational excellence of TM Forum’s technology and data functions, and for the delivery of the organization's digital experience platform and enabling capabilities (including architecture, engineering, integration, data and analytics). The role partners closely with the VP Marketing, who retains responsibility for digital content, brand and the end-to-end user experience. Together, they ensure TM Forum’s digital channels and platforms evolve in line with organizational priorities, enabling exceptional member value, operational efficiency and long-term sustainability. The role is also accountable for delivering and operating the AI enablement platforms and foundations required for adoption across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Digital Platform & Capability Delivery (in partnership with Marketing)
- Own the roadmap and delivery of TM Forum’s digital platforms and core capabilities (including the web and member-facing platform foundations), ensuring they are secure, scalable, accessible and aligned to business and member needs.
- Lead a high-performing digital delivery function across product management, platform engineering, integration and analytics, with clear accountability, delivery governance and measurable outcomes.
- Work in close partnership with Marketing to enable a consistent, high-quality digital presence—providing the platform and tooling that supports content, brand and user experience ownership within Marketing.

Technology & IT Operations
- Lead DevOps, engineering and IT operations to deliver secure, scalable and reliable services.
- Consolidate systems and platforms into a coherent, modern, flexible technology architecture.
- Oversee software development, digital platform engineering capabilities, infrastructure, and internal systems.
- Own information security strategy, governance, compliance and operational risk management.
- Drive technology innovation, tooling, automation and continuous improvement.
- Manage vendor and partner relationships to maximise value and delivery quality.

Data Strategy & Transformation
- Lead TM Forum’s data strategy, ensuring high‑quality, trusted data to power decision making.
- Develop a data‑smart culture through improved literacy, self‑serve analytics and data governance.
- Oversee analytics initiatives that support organisational goals and member value.
- Embed a “data product” mindset to ensure clarity, consistency and long‑term data stewardship.

Governance, Planning & Risk
- Lead governance for IT, digital and data initiatives, including prioritisation and procurement.
- Maintain clear, transparent backlogs, business requirements and prioritisation frameworks.
- Oversee risk management across technology, data, security, disaster recovery, business continuity and compliance.
- Manage budgets for IT, digital, data and AI ensuring efficiency, value extraction and accountability.

AI Platforms & Enablement
- Own and operate TM Forum’s AI enablement platforms and supporting foundations (including identity, security, data access patterns, integration and monitoring) to enable safe and scalable AI use across the organization.
- Partner with the organization's AI Strategy & Adoption lead (new role) by translating AI priorities into platform roadmaps, technical delivery plans and operational run capabilities.
- Provide engineering leadership and resources for the build, integration and operation of member-facing web agents and AI-enabled digital features, ensuring they meet required standards for performance, reliability and security.
- Implement and manage responsible and secure AI controls (e.g., access, audit, data protection, model/tool approvals and monitoring) aligned with the Generative AI Policy, in partnership with the AI Strategy & Adoption lead and Information Security.
- Ensure TM Forum’s knowledge assets, data products and digital platforms evolve to be AI-ready from an engineering perspective (e.g., metadata, permissions, APIs, retrieval patterns and content pipelines).
- Manage platform and enablement-related external AI partnerships to maximize value, ensure architectural alignment, and maintain operational quality.
