VP M&A Tech - £115,000 - £125,00 plus bonus

A specialist corporate finance advisory firm is seeking an experienced M&A Vice President to join its London Tech team.

The opportunity is suited to an individual with 5–7 years of M&A, investment banking or corporate finance experience, who combines strong transaction execution skills with commercial judgement and an interest in business development.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will work across a range of M&A and capital advisory assignments, supporting clients through transactions from initial mandate through to completion.

The role will involve a combination of transaction execution, client management, business development and team leadership, with exposure to senior decision-makers and a broad range of domestic and international stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the execution of M&A and capital raising transactions from mandate through to completion
  • Managing day-to-day client relationships across live assignments
  • Preparing and reviewing pitch materials, transaction documents, financial analysis and presentations
  • Building and reviewing financial models, valuations and transaction analyses
  • Supporting business development, origination and pitch activity
  • Identifying and developing new client and transaction opportunities
  • Working closely with senior leadership on client strategy and business development
  • Building relationships with entrepreneurs, corporates, investors and other transaction stakeholders
  • Managing multiple transactions and workstreams concurrently
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members
  • Representing the firm professionally with clients and external stakeholders

Candidate Profile

Candidates are likely to have:

  • 5–7 years' experience in M&A advisory, investment banking or corporate finance
  • A strong track record of transaction execution from mandate through to completion
  • Experience across UK and/or international transactions
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities
  • Commercial judgement and an ability to contribute effectively to origination and pitch processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience producing high-quality, client-facing materials
  • The ability to manage several live transactions and competing priorities
  • Experience working effectively in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior colleagues
  • Strong interpersonal and client management skills
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline
