VP Markets Operations - Reconciliations & Controls (ETD & OTC Clearing Migration)
Location: Canary Wharf, London
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Rate: £550- £634 per day (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: ASAP start until 15 October 2027
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced VP Markets Operations professional to join a major transformation programme within a leading global investment bank. This role will play a key part in supporting a large-scale Books and Records Migration Programme across the Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) and OTC Clearing business.
The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in reconciliations, controls, and operations, alongside proven experience managing testing cycles, supporting complex migrations, and engaging with senior stakeholders across global teams.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-profile strategic initiative within Futures and Derivatives Clearing, ensuring operational integrity throughout a critical transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a large-scale Books and Records migration programme with a strong focus on reconciliations, controls, and operational risk management.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Global Reconciliations, including CCP, collateral, and books and records reconciliation processes.
- Provide project management support throughout the migration lifecycle, tracking deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Coordinate and manage testing activities, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and stakeholder reporting.
- Review and assess new operational processes and control frameworks introduced as part of the migration.
- Partner with Operations, Technology, Change Management, Risk, and Control teams to ensure successful programme delivery.
- Identify process improvement opportunities while maintaining programme timelines and delivery objectives.
- Create and maintain project documentation, operating procedures, controls documentation, and testing artefacts.
- Provide clear and concise updates to senior stakeholders, including Directors and Managing Directors.
- Escalate risks and issues appropriately and proactively develop solutions to support delivery.

Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience within Markets Operations in an Investment Banking environment.
- Strong knowledge of Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD), OTC Clearing, Futures, and Clearing Operations.
- Proven expertise in reconciliations, operational controls, and books and records management.
- Experience supporting or leading large-scale transformation, migration, or change programmes.
- Strong understanding of CCP reconciliations, collateral management, and post-trade operations.
- Demonstrable experience managing testing cycles, user acceptance testing (UAT), and operational readiness activities.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
- Advanced communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working within Futures & Derivatives Clearing Operations.
- Exposure to global markets operations across multiple regions.
- Experience working on books and records migrations, platform migrations, or strategic transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of operational control frameworks and regulatory requirements applicable to listed derivatives and OTC clearing.
