Robert Half is partnering with an international, high-growth FinTech business to appoint a VP of Acquisition Marketing
Reporting directly to the CMO and joining the marketing leadership team, this person will lead the global acquisition strategy and be accountable for increasing both new-client growth and long-term customer value.
This is not a traditional digital performance marketing role. The business is looking for a commercially focused acquisition leader who understands how paid media, organic, social, brand, partnerships, app marketing and emerging channels work together to deliver sustainable growth.
The opportunity
The business already operates at significant international scale, with a multi-million pound annual acquisition budget and marketing teams distributed across multiple regions.
The next stage is to evolve its acquisition model: reducing reliance on established performance channels, building a more balanced full-funnel strategy and improving the quality of acquired customers.
The VP of Acquisition Marketing will:
- Lead the global client acquisition strategy across multiple brands, channels and markets.
- Take accountability for customer growth, CPA, ROAS, LTV and wider funnel performance.
- Manage and optimise an annual acquisition budget exceeding £20 million.
- Diversify the channel mix beyond paid search, paid social and programmatic.
- Develop brand awareness and consideration activity that supports measurable acquisition growth.
- Improve conversion throughout the customer journey.
- Build a structured testing culture across media, creative, messaging, landing pages and bidding.
- Explore how AI can improve targeting, optimisation, creative production, measurement and team effectiveness.
- Partner closely with regional marketing, data, analytics, product and compliance teams.
- Lead and develop a geographically distributed acquisition function.
- Help shape the future structure and capabilities of the wider marketing team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience within online trading, fintech, financial services, crypto, iGaming or another regulated, high-volume consumer business would be advantageous. Direct trading-sector experience is not essential if you can demonstrate comparable acquisition complexity, commercial scale and adaptability.
