The role requires a commercially credible operator who can balance pace with discipline, enabling growth while ensuring operational control and alignment across functions.

This is a highly cross-functional senior leadership role, working closely with Sales, Client Success, Client Services, Product, Marketing, and Finance to drive predictable revenue performance and scalable growth.

  • Identify systemic performance risks and opportunities, sponsoring cross-functional interventions to improve commercial effectiveness and revenue outcomes.
  • Partner with Finance on revenue planning, target setting, and reporting.
  • Establish governance frameworks for pricing, discounting, deal approvals, and commercial risk management.
  • Ensure commercial decisions are consistent with company strategy, profitability objectives, and client commitments.
  • Lead win-loss analysis and commercial insights programmes, identifying trends and opportunities to improve conversion, retention, and expansion performance.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to the executive leadership team on growth opportunities, investment priorities, commercial risks, and resource allocation decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
