VP of Finance – High Growth Fintech (VC Backed) - London
We’re excited to be working with the Founders of one of Europe’s most exciting fintech start-ups as they appoint a VP of Finance to help lead the next phase of their growth.
The business has raised a significant Series B, and are backed by leading Venture Capital and impact investors, which has helped to fuel their growth into more than 10 international markets and led to them becoming one of the leaders in their space.
Having grown through a combination of organic growth and M&A, they are now entering an exciting next phase consisting of profitable growth, further acquisitions and international expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the CEO & Co-Founder and sitting within the leadership team, the VP of Finance will be the senior finance leader within the business, owning the financial direction and playing a key strategic role in shaping the next phase of growth.
- Strategic role: This is a broad, highly strategic role with a clear path to CFO.
- Collaboration: You'll work closely with the CEO and broader leadership team across strategy, growth, and M&A, while leading the Finance function and ensuring the business has the financial insight and infrastructure to scale.

Specific Duties:
- Financial Strategy: Responsible for shaping and executing the company’s financial strategy to support its next phase of growth.
- Strategic Partner: Strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, providing long-term strategic planning including evaluating strategic growth opportunities, international expansion, and future exit plans.
- Investor Relations: Manage relationships with existing and prospective investors as well as supporting future fundraising rounds.
- Team Leadership: Lead and build a world-class finance team, including an experienced Group Financial Controller.
- Financial Planning: Build and develop best-in-class financial planning and forecasting.
- Reporting: Own and prepare board and investor reporting.
- Process Improvement: Driving process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency across the finance function.

Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience operating as a finance leader at VP Finance, Finance Director, or CFO level within a VC-backed environment.
- Industry: Previous experience in a fintech, insurtech, or D2C tech business.
- Skills: Highly commercial with the ability to influence strategic decision-making.
- Communication: Excellent communication and senior stakeholder management.
