The Position
We are seeking a Vice President to join our PR team, specialising in b2b/consumer/corporate. In this role, you will serve as the senior counsel for clients helping to drive the day-to-day strategy and leading internal account teams. We expect you to be well-versed in driving integrated marketing and/or communications strategies that tap into the agency’s offerings. There is a key operational aspect to this role where the person is responsible for overseeing budgets and scopes of work, negotiating contracts and understanding/identifying the right staffing needs for each account.

We expect Vice Presidents to act as a leader within their department and office, supporting overall growth through new business and upsells, alongside guiding and training junior employees.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as strategic lead and senior day-to-day client contact, as a true thought partner.
- Provide counsel on integrated strategies, messaging, planning and execution, creative elements, and measurement.
- Primarily responsible for overall client health and success. Ability to anticipate client needs, challenges and issues and develop strategic plans to address and support their continued success.
- Responsible for financial and budget oversight on accounts including utilization, and staffing requirements. May participate in contract negotiations.
- Evaluate client needs regularly and identify opportunities to grow the business, selling in agency’s broader offerings.
- Outline roles and responsibilities for the account teams and re-evaluate on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for ongoing training and development of junior staff and supervision of mid-level employees.
- Lead new business initiatives.
- Active participation in practice, office or department operations and growth.
What You’ll Need
- Vice-Presidents at Allison typically have a minimum of 10+ years of experience.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape with an ability to advise account teams on best practices in storytelling.
- Ability to manage expectations appropriately and effectively.
- Proven track-record in developing integrated programs for accounts/clients.
- Direct management experience preferred.
- Experience in budget tracking and resource allocation.
