About the Role
At Beam, we build AI products that help frontline teams deliver better support. We’re looking for a VP of Product to lead product and design, shape our suite, and deliver exceptional products quickly.
You’ll report to Beam’s co-founder and work closely together on product strategy, priorities, and key product decisions. You’ll work in close partnership, bringing your own judgment, challenging constructively and taking accountability for running the function and delivering the agreed strategy.
You’ll lead five Senior Product Managers today, with significant team growth ahead, and have design within your remit. This is an opportunity to build the team and operating discipline behind Beam’s next stage of growth.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Set direction and protect focus - Shape strategy, translate it into clear priorities and allocate effort across products with engineering. Make trade-offs explicit, resolve competing demands and stop work when the evidence changes.
- Run a tight product function - Establish clear owners, delivery dates and effective planning and reviews. Track commitments, surface risks early and remove blockers. Give teams agency while making progress and decisions visible across Beam.
- Set and manage targets - Set ambitious goals for delivery, adoption, customer value and commercial impact. Review performance regularly and act when results fall short. Stay accountable for outcomes after launch.
- Be in the field - Spend time with users and customers, observing real workflows and getting feedback firsthand. Build customer obsession across the team, combining direct insight with data to test assumptions and improve products.
- Drive commercial results - Partner with sales and customer success on winning customers, adoption, renewal, and expansion. Contribute to pricing, understand running costs, and balance customer requests with products that can scale across many customers.
- Deliver quality at pace - Build clear acceptance criteria, rigorous QA, AI evaluations and monitoring into delivery. Enable fast, controlled experiments and dependable releases, with appropriate human oversight, security and privacy.
- Build an outstanding team - Hire, coach and develop strong product and design talent. Set high standards, address underperformance swiftly, and build effective partnerships with engineering. Scale the team while keeping ownership and decisions clear.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
