Position Overview
Cast & Crew is a global provider of payroll, production accounting, workforce management and technology solutions to the entertainment industry. In the UK, our business is built upon the more than 40-year heritage and market presence of Sargent-Disc, one of the industry's most recognized production-services brands. Together, Cast & Crew and Sargent-Disc form a unified commercial organization — combining Sargent-Disc's deep-rooted UK relationships and industry credibility with Cast & Crew's global capabilities, technology portfolio and scale.
We are seeking a VP of Sales – UK and International to lead the next phase of growth in the UK. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and working in close partnership with both Sargent-Disc and global leadership. The mandate is both protective and expansive: deepen and defend our strong position in Film, Television & Streaming; develop new relationships across the broader UK production ecosystem; and extend the reach of our joint organization into adjacent markets such as Advertising and Live Entertainment.
This is initially a hands-on, quota-carrying role. We are looking for someone with the experience and leadership capability to build and lead teams, but who is equally energized by creating commercial momentum themselves — opening markets, developing relationships, winning business and laying a foundation that can scale.
Core Responsibilities
Grow and Protect the UK Business
- Own and develop senior commercial relationships across the combined Cast & Crew and Sargent-Disc UK client base, including major studios, streamers, independent production companies, producers and production partners.
- Protect and expand existing revenue by developing a deep understanding of client needs, production activity and opportunities to broaden relationships across the joint portfolio.
- Work in close collaboration with Sargent-Disc's established client-facing teams, Customer Success, Operations and UK leadership to ensure that commercial strategy and client experience operate as one connected organization.
- Serve as a trusted, senior presence in the UK market — carrying forward the Sargent-Disc legacy of partnership and service while introducing clients to the expanded capabilities Cast & Crew brings to the relationship.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Build New Markets
- Develop and execute a disciplined outbound strategy focused on new client acquisition and market expansion across the UK and international markets, drawing on the combined strengths of Cast & Crew and Sargent-Disc.
- Build upon the joint organization's established Film, Television & Streaming presence to develop opportunities in adjacent markets, including independent production, Advertising and Live Entertainment.
- Establish repeatable sales motions, market segmentation, target-account strategies and partnership models that reflect the full breadth of what Cast & Crew and Sargent-Disc can offer together.
- Build and deepen relationships within the UK and international production community — with production accountants, producers, production finance leaders and other key decision-makers and influencers — leveraging the trust and recognition the Sargent-Disc name has earned over four decades.
Help Build a Global Commercial Organization
- Serve as a bridge between the UK and international markets and Cast & Crew's broader global commercial organization, ensuring that the combined voice of Cast & Crew and Sargent-Disc is represented effectively in both directions.
- Bring deep UK and international market expertise into global strategy while translating Cast & Crew's broader capabilities and commercial priorities into local market contexts.

- Provide disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, CRM usage and market intelligence consistent with the global commercial operating model.
Build for Scale
- Begin as a hands-on individual contributor with personal responsibility for developing and closing business across both the established Sargent-Disc base and new Cast & Crew opportunities.
- Help determine the appropriate future sales coverage model for the UK and international markets as the combined business grows.
- Over time, build and lead a high-performing commercial team that reflects the full ambition of the Cast & Crew and Sargent-Disc partnership across the UK and international markets.
Required Qualifications
- A senior commercial leader with at least 5 years’ experience in entertainment, media, production services, technology or a related industry.
- Demonstrated ability to build markets and win new business, rather than solely manage an inherited portfolio.
- Experience leading or developing sales teams, combined with the appetite to operate personally as an individual contributor during this stage of growth.
- Strong knowledge of the UK and international Film, Television & Streaming ecosystem, with ideally established relationships across production companies, studios, streamers, production finance and the production-accounting community.
- Experience selling solutions involving payroll, workforce management, production accounting, financial technology or related production infrastructure is highly valued.
- Comfort operating within a global, matrixed organization — balancing global priorities with local market expertise, relationships and the distinct identity of the Sargent-Disc brand.
- Strong commercial discipline, including pipeline development, CRM management, forecasting and structured account planning.
- BA Honours degree or above preferred.
- Ability to travel to client sites and the office a minimum of twice per week, with additional visits as required.
- During the probationary period, the successful candidate will be expected to be office-based five days per week.
