About The Role
We are looking for an experienced translational R&D leader with a background in cell therapy to shape the scientific strategy across our research programme and guide the platform from discovery towards therapeutic development.
This is a senior scientific leadership role with broad responsibility for translating emerging biology into a development programme. You will define the evidence required to advance the platform, establish clear development priorities and decision points, and ensure that experimental programmes are designed with downstream clinical, regulatory and commercial requirements in mind.
We are seeking someone with substantial experience advancing novel therapeutic programmes through preclinical development. You will bring expertise across areas including assay and translational strategy, biodistribution and PK/PD, safety and toxicology, and regulatory development, together with the judgement to identify critical programme risks and make timely, evidence-based go/no-go decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
