VP, Partnership Sales (EMEA) – CluneTech (TransferMate)

About the Role

TransferMate, a subsidiary of CluneTech, specialises in global payments, operating as a regarded payments provider since its establishment in 2010. Covering 200+ countries and territories, TransferMate partners with some of the largest banks, fintechs, and software providers worldwide. Achieving Unicorn status in 2022, the business combines a regulated network, award-winning technology, and strategic partnerships to deliver value across industries.

This senior commercial leadership role is based in EMEA and focuses on developing and executing a partner-led growth strategy, structuring high-impact collaborations to drive revenue expansion.


Key Responsibilities

1. Revenue Growth & Partnership Strategy

  • Own and deliver partner-driven revenue growth in EMEA, aligned with company-wide targets.
  • Define and execute the EMEA partnership strategy, focusing on high-growth segments (banks, fintechs, platforms, SaaS providers).
  • Originate, structure, and close high-impact commercial partnerships with senior stakeholders.

2. Strategic Partner Development

  • Build and manage a focused portfolio of strategic partners, championing them as executive sponsors.
  • Identify recurring revenue opportunities through cross-selling, upselling, and embedded solutions.
  • Develop joint go-to-market strategies to accelerate partner adoption and growth.

3. New Business Origination

  • Identify, engage, and convert partnerships within financial services (FS) and fintech ecosystems.
  • Lead consultative sales engagements, positioning TransferMate’s API-driven payment and FX solutions.
  • Deliver tailored commercial and product pitches to C-level and senior stakeholders.

4. Market & Product Influence

  • Act as the partner voice within TransferMate, providing structured feedback to Product, Technology, and Operations.
  • Contribute to evolving TransferMate’s platform, APIs, and embedded finance capabilities.
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and emerging opportunities.

5. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Compliance, and Operations to support seamless partner scaling.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the wider commercial team.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing partnership sales team where applicable.

6. Partner Performance Management

  • Monitor and optimise partner KPIs (revenue, engagement, goals).
  • Resolve commercial, operational, or technical performance issues impacting partners.
  • Ensure partners are fully enrolled in TransferMate’s product suite and future roadmap.

Required Skills, Experience & Capabilities

Commercial & Strategic Expertise

  • Proven track record of originating and closing complex partnership deals with material revenue impact.
  • Strong commercial acumen in structuring win-win transaction models.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.

Domain Expertise

  • Experience in cross-border payments, FX, treasury, working capital solutions, or embedded finance.
  • Strong understanding of API-first and SaaS-driven fintech or financial services solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with banks, fintechs, or payment providers.

Leadership & Influence

  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to influence internal teams, including Product & Compliance.
  • Experience thriving in high-growth, ambiguous environments.

Execution Excellence

  • CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Strong pipeline management & forecasting discipline.
  • Data-driven, target-exceeding mindset with the ability to multitask complex deals.
