Vice President, People Transformation, Learning & Reward

Argus is a fast-growing global B2B media company providing essential information on commodity markets. As a business, we continue to grow and evolve, adding new markets, new services, new delivery options and improved analytical tools.

We are seeking an experienced Vice President, People Transformation, Learning & Reward to lead the delivery of our global People change agenda.

Reporting to the CHRO, this role will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic people initiatives that strengthen organisational capability, enhance employee experience, and support long-term business growth. The VP, People Transformation, Learning and Reward will provide strategic leadership and hands on execution for Learning & Development and Compensation & Benefits and work closely with HR leaders, business stakeholders, and technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

People Transformation Leadership

  • Lead the design and execution of HR change and transformation programmes, ensuring alignment with business strategy and priorities.
  • Serve as PMO lead for People projects, partnering closely with the Head of HR Tech, AI & Automation.
  • Build change capability across the HR function and support leaders in navigating organisational change.

Portfolio and Programme Management

  • Own the governance, prioritisation, and delivery oversight of the People programme portfolio.
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of People transformation initiatives, including a new global Learning Management System (LMS), employee intranet and future HR technology investments.
  • Monitor programme performance, risks, dependencies, and benefits realisation across all major initiatives. Establish clear success measures and reporting to monitor performance.
  • Develop executive business cases and recommendations to support investment decisions and ROI.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior business leaders and key stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Influence decision making at executive level through clear insight, commercial judgement, and thoughtful challenge.
  • Foster collaboration across HR Centres of Excellence, HR Business Partners, and regional teams to deliver integrated people solutions.
  • Serve as a member of the AI Governance Committee, ensuring appropriate oversight, compliance, and ethical use of AI within HR processes.

Learning & Organisational Capability

  • Lead the global Learning & Development team and set the strategic direction for learning.
  • Oversee learning budgets and ensure learning investments build the skills and capabilities required to support future business needs. Monitor effectiveness.
  • Drive a culture of continuous learning, leadership development, career growth and knowledge sharing.

Compensation & Benefits Leadership

  • Lead the global Compensation & Benefits team and provide strategic direction for reward programmes that attract and retain great people.
  • Ensure compensation and benefit practices remain competitive, equitable, sustainable, and aligned to business objectives.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Significant senior leadership experience within HR, People Transformation, Change, Organisational Development, or a related field.
  • Proven success leading People transformation programmes within a global, matrixed organisation working across functions and countries.
  • The ideal candidate will bring a combination of in-house business experience and consulting expertise.
  • Strong experience of programme governance, portfolio management, and change leadership.
  • Experience leading specialist HR teams, ideally including Learning & Development and/or Compensation & Benefits.
  • Strong understanding of HR technology, digital transformation, and emerging AI opportunities within People functions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and drive alignment across multiple functions and geographies.
  • Ability to influence senior executives and present effectively to Executive Committees.
  • Strong commercial acumen and an ability to translate people initiatives into measurable business outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving capability.
