As the VP of Planning CoE, you will be accountable for designing, deploying, and continuously improving a world-class, integrated planning capability across the enterprise. This role leads the global Planning Centre of Excellence, driving standardization, capability uplift, and value realization through Advanced Planning Systems (APS), supporting systems and a transformed S&OP operating model.
The role acts as the architect, owner, and integrator of planning processes, technologies, data standards, and talent—ensuring planning becomes a strategic, decision-oriented capability that enables profitable growth, resilience, and operational excellence.
Key Accountabilities
Planning Strategy & CoE Leadership
- Define and continuously evolve the enterprise planning vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Establish the Planning CoE as the single source of truth for planning standards, methodologies, tools, and performance
- Balance global standardisation with local market and operational flexibility
- Elevate planning from transactional execution to scenario-based decision support
APS Adoption & Value Realization
- Own end-to-end APS strategy, deployment, and value delivery
- Lead global rollout, enhancement, and optimization of APS capabilities including Demand sensing & forecasting, Multi-echelon supply planning, Constraint-based production planning, and Network optimisation & scenario modelling
- Ensure APS and supporting systems (e.g Servigistics) are fully embedded in business processes
- Drive User adoption and capability uplift, Data quality, master data governance, and model integrity, and Automation of planning cycles
- Define and track business value realisation (service, inventory, cost, resilience)

S&OP / IBP Transformation
- Lead the design and transformation of S&OP into a fully integrated IBP model
- Establish a decision-centric S&OP/IBP cadence, aligned to executive and financial governance
- Integrate and align Demand, supply, inventory and capacity, Financial plans, budgets, and outlooks, and Scenario analysis and risk/opportunity management through an APS solution
- Define clear decision rights, escalation paths, and executive forums
- Ensure S&OP outcomes drive real trade-off decisions
Process Ownership & Standardisation
- Define SIOP end-to-end planning processes, policies, and standards
- Ensure consistent Planning horizons and cadences, Assumptions and rules, and KPIs and performance management
- Lead continuous improvement using Lean, digital, and advanced analytics
- Own process documentation, playbooks, and governance forums
Data, Analytics & Insights
- Partner with IT and Data teams to define Planning data architecture, Master data standards, and Integration between APS, ERP, BI, Servigistics and Aerogility, and Finance systems
- Champion advanced analytics, AI/ML, and scenario modelling to improve decision quality
- Ensure planners and executives have clear, actionable insights, not just reports
People & Organizational Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing Planning CoE organisation
- Define team role taxonomy, skills, and career paths
- Drive capability building in APS usage, Scenario planning, Financial and commercial acumen, and Executive storytelling and decision support
- Act as senior sponsor for change management and adoption
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
- Enable fact-based executive decision-making through clear scenarios and trade-offs
- Influence without direct authority in a complex matrix organisation
