Description

As Vice President / Senior Vice President – Portfolio Management, you will provide senior-level oversight of portfolio performance across Arrow’s CRE Lending book, which spans over €3.9bn AUM and is spread across several of Arrow’s propriety fund vehicles. You will work in close coordination with loan Asset Management and Risk teams to monitor portfolio performance, direct their output, and ensure key portfolio metrics are being met.

You will sit in the directly in the centre of the business. Facing upward to the decision-making stakeholders (Investment Committee, Board, CEO) and facing downward to the on-the-ground experts across deal, risk and asset management. You will hold the top-down view of the portfolio, with the ability to zoom in on an individual credit as needed. You will be a key player in managing downside risk at the fund-level initiating proactive strategies such as hedging etc.

About the role

  • Maintain a centralised, top-down view of portfolio performance across the platform, with the ability to zoom in on individual credits as needed while staying focused on the macro picture.
  • Attend every IC and pre-IC meeting as the Portfolio Management representative, providing PM sign off on new deals (speaking to the impact on overall fund and portfolio composition, returns and deployment).
  • Act as deputy for the Head of CRE Lending Portfolio Management and present provide performance updates on weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings to top senior leadership.
  • Own functional sign-off on external investor reporting; manage the investor reporting cycle end-to-end, bringing together output from Fund Finance, Capital Allocations, Risk and the Servicing platforms.
  • Own high-level liquidity management across Arrow’s lending fund(s); monitoring headroom, working with the FP&A / Fund Finance team to forecast drawdown and distribution timing.
  • Assist in oversight of team that manages back-leverage and financing facilities; covenant, borrowing base and drawdown matters.
  • Interface with the Client Product Solutions team to facilitate investor queries and support fundraising efforts for new lending vehicles.
  • Design, build and implement operational processes to drive operational improvements.
  • Work cross functionally with various internal teams. Coordinate closely with Asset Management and Risk teams to monitor performance; surface emerging issues early. Work with platform originators and CIO to ensure deployment is balanced.
  • Be able to speak on high-level macro dynamics, bringing that context into IC, Board and senior leadership discussions.
  • Leverage AI and other emerging tools within Portfolio Management, identifying where they can improve reporting accuracy, speed up analysis and free up capacity for higher-value judgement work.

  • Prior CRE lending/banking, investments, or portfolio management experience (origination, underwriting, capital markets, acquisitions etc).
  • Critical thinker, comfortable questioning information and third-party output rather than taking it at face value.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong executive presence, with ability to present complex portfolio, risk and KPI matters to senior leadership (Board, Investment Committee, and C-suite) on a recurring cadence.
  • Process-oriented and organized; ability to work autonomously and know how to prioritize while managing multiple important workstreams simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to both be in-the-weeds and maintain a high-level operating view.
  • Sound understanding of CRE lending/debt, fund structures, repo financing, CRE development.
