Vice President, Regional Commercial Leader (UK & Europe)
The Vice President, Regional Commercial Leader (UK & Europe) is responsible for leading the company's commercial strategy and execution across the region, driving revenue growth, market expansion, customer adoption, and strategic partnerships. As the senior commercial executive for the region, this role serves as the primary leader responsible for achieving bookings, revenue, pipeline, and business growth objectives while strengthening the company's market presence and reputation. This role reports directly into our Chief Commercial Officer, and will closely with our Executive team across Strategy, Consulting, Hardware, Applications, and other functions.
The VP acts as a trusted advisor to customers, partners, government stakeholders, and industry leaders, building long-term relationships that advance the company's strategic and commercial objectives. This role requires exceptional commercial acumen, executive presence, and the ability to navigate complex enterprise and government sales environments while leading high-performing teams across multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Commercial Leadership
- Develop and execute the regional go-to-market strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives.
- Own and deliver regional bookings, revenue, pipeline, and market expansion targets.
- Lead the identification, qualification, pursuit, negotiation, and closure of strategic opportunities.
- Maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, partners, government stakeholders, and industry influencers.
- Ensure rigorous sales governance through accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and performance metrics.
- Identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities, customer segments, and routes to market.
- Drive strategic account planning and long-term customer growth strategies.
- Accountable for annual planning, forecasting, and resource allocation within the region, balancing business priorities with financial objectives to deliver against agreed budgets.
Business Growth & Market Expansion
- Establish and expand the company's presence across priority markets within the region.
- Develop and execute market-entry and growth strategies for new sectors and geographies.
- Build and strengthen strategic partnerships that enhance market access, customer reach, and commercial performance.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer requirements, and regulatory developments to inform regional strategy.
- Provide regional insights and market intelligence to influence corporate strategy, product direction, and investment priorities.
Strategic Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the senior executive sponsor for key customer and partner relationships across the region.
- Represent the company in executive forums, customer engagements, government discussions, and industry events.
- Build trusted relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry bodies, investors, and strategic partners where appropriate.
- Position the company as a market leader and trusted partner within the region.

Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing commercial organization.
- Create a culture of accountability, execution excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
- Coach and develop leaders and individual contributors to maximize performance and career growth.
- Ensure organizational capability and succession planning to support future business growth.
- Foster collaboration across regional and global teams to drive shared business outcomes.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with Executives and their teams in Product, Engineering, Delivery, Marketing, Finance, Legal, HR, and Operations to align commercial priorities with corporate objectives.
- Ensure customer commitments are achievable, commercially viable, and aligned with product and delivery capabilities.
- Advocate for customer needs while balancing long-term strategic and financial objectives.
- Act as the regional voice of the customer to influence business decisions and investment priorities.
Must Have’s
- 15+ years' experience in senior regional commercial leadership roles within technology or deep-tech sectors, leading multi-country businesses across Europe and/or EMEA and delivering sustainable revenue growth and market expansion.
- Experience leading complex enterprise, government, or strategic customer engagements.
- Demonstrated success delivering significant revenue and growth targets.

- Exposure to emerging technologies, quantum, AI, cybersecurity, advanced computing, or similar sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing forecasts, pipelines, and business plans.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience leading multi-country or regional teams.
- Experience operating in both direct and partner-led sales models.
- Experience working with government stakeholders and regulated industries.
- General management or country leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of international business operations and cross-cultural leadership.
- MBA or advanced business/technical qualification.
