Role Introduction

We're seeking a VP of Sales for our Automotive & Connected Vehicle division to own global AMS revenue and lead our worldwide OEM sales strategy. This is a backfill opportunity where you'll step into an established business and immediately drive growth across multiple automotive OEMs globally. You'll have the autonomy to shape and execute the go-to-market strategy while building a high-performing sales team that can deliver consistent results at scale.

This role is perfect for a proven sales leader who has deep automotive OEM relationships and wants to leverage those connections to drive meaningful revenue growth in the connected vehicle space. You'll work directly with our CEO and Board, own the forecasting discipline, and represent Aeris at the highest levels within target OEMs.

Key Responsibilities

Global Revenue Ownership

  • Own the global AMS revenue number end-to-end, including target setting, pipeline development across all OEM accounts and regions, and personally driving the largest strategic deals from initial access through close
  • Organize existing account management for maximum efficiency and revenue growth while maintaining high customer satisfaction

Team Leadership & Scaling

  • Build, lead, and scale the global sales team through strategic hiring, comprehensive onboarding, active coaching, performance management, and designing the organizational structure needed to effectively cover a worldwide OEM customer base

Strategic Go-to-Market

  • Set and execute the sales strategy and go-to-market approach for the connected-vehicle platform across all regions, including market segmentation, account prioritization, pricing strategy, and coverage models

  • Serve as the executive face of Aeris sales to the CEO and Board by owning accurate forecasting, conducting disciplined pipeline reviews, delivering comprehensive revenue reporting, and articulating strategy and performance in terms leadership can act upon

Industry Network & Representation

  • Activate and expand personal network across the automotive connected-vehicle industry to open doors at target OEMs, represent Aeris at the executive level during industry events and OEM forums, and partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Engineering, Legal, and Finance teams

Qualifications

  • Direct experience selling complex B2B solutions (connectivity, IoT, telematics, eSIM, or SaaS platforms) to automotive OEMs with a track record of personally closing large enterprise deals in that space
  • Existing, immediately activatable network within the automotive connected-vehicle industry with established relationships at OEMs across procurement, engineering, IT, and connected-vehicle/telematics functions, ideally spanning multiple OEMs globally
  • Proven track record of leading a sales team accountable for significant revenue numbers, including ownership of hiring, performance management, forecasting, and go-to-market execution beyond individual quota carrying
  • Experience navigating OEM procurement processes, RFI/RFP cycles, and multi-year vendor qualification requirements
  • Executive-level operating experience with demonstrated ability to engage credibly with CEOs and Boards, comfortable owning revenue numbers publicly and being measured against them
  • Technical fluency in connected vehicle, eSIM, telematics, or IoT technologies sufficient to sell credibly at both business and technical levels and lead a team doing the same
  • Hunter mentality with self-directed, entrepreneurial approach to breaking down doors rather than waiting for inbound opportunities

Compensation

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may also be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The salary range for this role is $300-350k base salary. Aeris also offers a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical / dental / vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
