VP Strategic Account Management

Role Overview

As VP Strategic Account Management, you’ll act as a senior commercial leader, steering TransferMate’s most high-value partnerships toward growth.

Your accountability spans:

  • Strategic account development and revenue expansion
  • Product adoption acceleration and long-term value creation
  • Positioning TransferMate as an essential partner within key client ecosystems

This role demands strategic thinking, executive stakeholder management, and commercial execution.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Account Leadership & Revenue Growth
    • Own revenue growth across high-value strategic accounts.
    • Develop and execute account plans to drive expansion and retention.
    • Identify opportunities for new use cases, geographies, and product offerings.
    • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets, aligning with KPIs.

  1. Executive Relationship Ownership

    • Serve as primary relationship owner for key strategic partners.
    • Build multi-threaded relationships with all tiers of stakeholders (executive, commercial, product, operations).
    • Provide strategic advice to clients, aligned with their business goals.
    • Lead executive engagements, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and strategic planning sessions.
  2. Partner Enablement & Commercial Excellence

    • Oversee partner enablement, including training for client sales teams.
    • Ensure TransferMate’s value proposition is clearly understood and communicated.
    • Drive value-based selling across all engagements.
  3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution

    • Collaborate with Product, Technology, Compliance, and Operations teams.
    • Remove barriers to growth, ensuring smooth execution and delivery.
    • Feed insights into product and commercial roadmaps via feedback loops.
  4. Strategic Thought Leadership

    • Propose innovative growth strategies for key partnerships.
    • Represent TransferMate at industry events and forums in financial services and embedded payments.
    • Track industry trends, client challenges, and competitive positioning.
  5. Customer Success & Experience

    • Prioritise customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Monitor performance metrics, usage data, and growth trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
    • Champion continuous improvement of partner-client experiences.

Skills & Requirements

Essential

  • Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience:
    • 8–12+ years in strategic account management, enterprise sales, or partnerships—preferably in cross-border payments, fintech, or enterprise solutions.
    • Proven track record of managing and expanding large, complex accounts with measurable revenue impact.
  • Commercial Acumen:
    • Ability to influence and negotiate at the executive level.
    • Strategic thinking, advanced analytics, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Leadership & Execution:
    • Expertise in cross-functional initiative leadership in a dynamic environment.
    • Stakeholder management skills to engage C-suite executives seamlessly.
  • Sales Mindset:
    • Value-based selling with a clear focus on solving client challenges.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Highly driven, independent, and results-oriented.
    • Exceptional written, communication, and presentation abilities.
    • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and executive presence.
